The rarest sports car Isdera Imperator 108i will be sold at auction
At the RM Sotheby's auction in mid-August, there will be a unique opportunity to purchase the legendary Isdera Imperator 108i, a sports car created in the late 1980s and early 1990s by the German company Isdera with the support of Mercedes-Benz. In total, about 30 of these cars were produced, which makes them a real rarity, reports auto.ru.
The design of this unusual car belongs to Eberhard Schulz, a talented engineer who previously worked at Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Inspired by the Mercedes-Benz C-111 prototypes, Schulz created a futuristic sports car with a mid-engine layout and “gullwing” doors.
The 1991 example up for auction with only 1912 kilometers on the clock is equipped with a 300-horsepower V8 M119 engine and a five-speed ZF manual transmission. Its cost is expected to range from 800 thousand to a million dollars.
