An international conference on tourism development has started in Turkmenistan
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent an appeal to the participants of the international conference “Main directions and potential of tourism development in Turkmenistan”.
As the head of state notes, it is significant that the holding of the international conference coincided with the launch ceremony of events on the occasion of the proclamation of the city of Anau by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) as the cultural capital of the Turkic world this year.
Anau is a unique place in the history of the Turkmen people. He plays the main role in popularizing the ancient culture of Turkmenistan, values, traditions and customs of the Turkmen people.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also added that Turkmenistan currently has significant potential in the field of tourism. Evidence of this is the historical and cultural monuments located on the territory of the country, as well as the created modern tourism infrastructure.
