Arkadag and Khujand became sister cities
The first “smart” city of Turkmenistan, Arkadag, and one of the oldest cities in Tajikistan, Khujand, received the status of sister cities. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
An agreement on the establishment of sister city relations between the cities of Arkadag and Khujand was signed following negotiations between the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Dushanbe and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
It is worth noting that as a result of negotiations between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the head of Tajikistan, a number of important bilateral documents were signed aimed at strengthening the Turkmen-Tajik partnership in various fields.
