Jeep recalls 2022 Cherokee vehicles due to problems with turn signals

More than 12 000 2022 Jeep Cherokee crossovers in the United States are subject to a recall due to a defective turn signal clamp spring. Auto.rambler.ru reports this.

A malfunction may result in the turn signal being unintentionally disabled or not functioning properly, creating a potential road hazard.

Jeep, in collaboration with suppliers, has identified an issue that affects about 10% of Cherokees produced between February 21 and June 6, 2022. The company became aware of the potential problem in July 2022, but took time to determine the source and extent of the problem.

Jeep is voluntarily recalling vehicles to ensure the safety of all road users.

Starting in mid-May, owners of affected Cherokees will be notified to contact their nearest dealership. The turn signal will be replaced free of charge with a new one that meets all specifications and safety standards.
