BMW is getting ready for a breakthrough: 40 new products in 5 years

The Bavarian concern BMW plans to launch about 40 new and updated models on the market in the next five years. This became known from sources in the dealer community who attended the BMW dealer conference in Las Vegas. Auto.ru reports this.

BMW has unveiled its upcoming electric vehicles to its US dealers, which sources say have been met with enthusiasm. It is expected that in the American market, Bavarian electric cars will provide serious competition to segment leaders such as Tesla.

In addition, BMW plans progressive and systematic development of the electric line, taking into account current market trends. Battery models should become the main growth driver of the concern in 2024.

However, BMW is not going to abandon traditional models and internal combustion engines (ICE). There are plans to update the flagship 7 Series sedan, as well as the X5 and X3 crossovers, which will receive a radically redesigned exterior.

The concern announced continued investment in the development of fuel power units, including six- and eight-cylinder ones.

This year the premiere of the new generation BMW M5 will take place, which will be produced in sedan and station wagon bodies. The sports cars will retain the V8, but will also get an electric motor, and will likely feature a hybrid powertrain from the XM supercrossover.
