After the overhaul, the Azerbaijani ship “Composer Fikret Amirov” will go to Turkmenbashi
The “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” (ASCO) CJSC has completed the overhaul of the Ro-Ro vessel Composer Fikret Amirov, reports Trend.
Within the framework of the work, the underwater and surface parts of the vessel were cleaned and painted, corroded metal sheets in the holds, ballast and cargo compartments and in other places were replaced.
The main and auxiliary engines, the cooling system, as well as other systems have also been overhauled.
In addition, the living and service rooms for the crew have been renovated.
It is expected that the first flight after the overhaul of the vessel “Composer Fikret Amirov” will make to the international seaport of Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan).
Let us remind that Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan are connected by a Baku-Turkmenbashi cargo-passenger ferry. The ports of Alyat (Baku) and Turkmenbashi have all the necessary equipment for receiving and processing railway cars and trains.
