The new consul of Turkmenistan met with the governor of the Astrakhan region
The new consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) Gadam Ilamanov met with the governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The governor of the Astrakhan region congratulated Ilamanov on his appointment to the post of consul and wished him success in his activities aimed at developing Turkmen-Russian relations.
Babushkin emphasized that Turkmenistan is one of the key foreign partners of the region, with which strong trade, economic, humanitarian and friendly ties have been established.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region, which fits into the context of the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
