GIZ promotes the development of digital customs services in Turkmenistan
The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) through the International Road Transport Union (IRU) provides support to Turkmenistan in the implementation of information technologies in international road transport.
IRU Director of International Road Transport and Transit Systems Tatiana Rey-Belle notes that GIZ will continue to support the digitization of customs procedures in Turkmenistan, which will further facilitate trade.
Last year, Turkmenistan and IRU implemented several projects to increase the country's transit and transport potential, as well as streamline cross-border procedures. This was done to improve Turkmenistan's communications with neighboring countries.
