Training on protection of intellectual property was held for Turkmen customs officers

For representatives of the customs service of Turkmenistan on Wednesday, a training was held via videoconference from the company “Schmidt and Orlov Intellectual Property”.

During the training, the customs officers were given information regarding the trademarks of the right holders, whose interests this company represents. The experts shared materials on the facts of detecting counterfeit products, methods for distinguishing them from the original, and the practice of protecting intellectual property rights on the example of well-known product brands.

As the website of the customs service of Turkmenistan notes, the country has a Customs Register of Intellectual Property Objects to prevent the appearance of counterfeit goods on the markets. Entry in the Register contributes to additional protection of products from counterfeiting.
